Talon also danced with “Fusion Dance and Fitness” in Waterloo, Iowa and “National Dance Academy” in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Talon took ballet, pointe, jazz, hiphop, and lyrical classes. Talon began choreographing her own routines when she was only in the 7th grade for East high dance camps. In high school, Talon was a captain of the East high school dance team. While at East high school, Talon had the opportunity to perform hip hop at the ISDTA state competition and received a division 1 rating with her team. She also was a captain of the volleyball team, a varsity cheerleader, and took several studio dance classes - all while maintaining straight “A’s”.

Talon later transferred to Cedar Falls high school where she was inducted into the Hall of Fame for dance twice, performed at the Orange Bowl, performed at camp in Des Moines, auditioned and performed at “All Iowa”, received a division 1 in state solos, and received multiple team awards at the ISDTA state competition with her high school team (3rd place in pom and 5th place in hip hop her junior year, and 5th place in pom her senior year). Talon also received multiple awards for dancing at competitions through her dance studio. She received first place twice for her hiphop solo in high school, and several team awards.

Talon also went on to dance in college her freshman year at Hawkeye Community College - where she had the opportunity to be a captain, and choreograph many routines for soccer games. In addition, Talon had the opportunity to perform pom and jazz at the ISDTA competition and receive division 1 awards with her team. While in college, Talon also choreographed many routines for Valley Lutheran high school. She created Valley Lutheran high school’s first fight song routine, and choreographed three of their dance routines for the state competition, where they received a division 1 placement.

Talon moved to Ankeny, Iowa in May 2021 in order to finish her nursing degree and search for opportunities to dance again. After Talon finishes her registered nursing degree through DMACC in 2024, she plans on receiving her Bachelors in nursing and minoring in dance at Iowa. Talon is very passionate about dance and loves to choreograph. She is excited for the opportunity to be able to teach dance at Motivate Dance.
