Madilyn Kalbach

INSTRUCTOR

Madilyn Kalbach started dancing at the age of 7 and fell in love with it. She started dancing in a small town in Northern California at a small studio. There she started studying ballet, jazz, hip-hop, break dance, and ballroom. She danced there for 7 years and taught for 2 years before moving to Sacramento where she was able to grow in her dancing career. She competed in jazz, modern, hip-hop/break dance, contemporary, and ballet after she moved to Sacramento. She also studied tap and musical theater. She competed in several different companies for a little over 4 years in the Reno and Sacramento areas. She has also performed in several productions of the Nutcracker. She has also been a part of different musical theater performances like Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, The Greatest Showman, and more. She has always felt like dance was her way of expressing herself and has always striven to show others beauty of emotion through her dance. Madilyn enjoys finding innovative ways to mesh styles and try new things. She has found a lot of freedom when she dances and wants to share it with others.

Madilyn taught dance for 6 years in Susanville and Sacramento California. She finds inspiration in her students and hopes to inspire them too. She has a passion for teaching and finds great joy in watching her students thrive and grow. Many of her students have moved on to go the Sacramento Ballet and to dance in Los Angeles and for Disney. She has also used dance to reach out to different communities with at risk kids and people with special needs. She enjoys using dance as a way to help people feel safe and find joy. Madilyn loves to see her students do their best and aim for the stars.
